Home / Short description

The international scientific conference “Identity, Tradition and Cultural Interferences. Symbolism of The Romanian Blouse Ia” aims to foster collaborative exploration and academic dialogue on the cultural, historical, and symbolic significance of the traditional Romanian blouse, known as the “ia.” By bringing together universities and researchers from Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Moldova, and other countries, the conference seeks to:

Objective
Promote cross-cultural dialogue, preserve and revitalize traditional cultural heritage, and enhance scholarly research on the ia’s symbolism and its cultural interferences across diverse regions.

This objective emphasizes the conference’s focus on fostering regional cooperation, preserving cultural traditions, encouraging interdisciplinary research, and promoting a deeper understanding of the traditions role in cultural identity both within and beyond the participating countries.

The conference will take place online via Zoom and the sessions will be partially live-streamed on social media platforms such as Facebook and/or YouTube.
The official languages of our conference are English and Romanian, hence we welcome presentations of both research-based papers and practical case studies in any of these languages and in the topics of the conference.
